Special trip to Pembroke Dock to visit after seeing the flyer leaflet. Free entry, donations optional. Wonderful small museum in a few sheds on the waterfront, staffed by volunteers who really know their stuff, & work on repairs & restoration on site. It’s full of finds & interesting stories of local maritime history, with some good things for children too. Don’t expect fancy displays but do expect real history

Saw this museum whilst driving past. Very glad we stopped in. Looked small from outside but an amazing number of exhibits. Well presented and some great stories. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and good at sharing information. Who knows that the Warrior, now at Portsmouth Historic Docks, was once a floating pontoon in the Pembroke Docks?

Easy to find if you're visiting Pembroke Dock - very near to the Cerrig Glas pub and restaurant - near the Ferry terminal . Lots of history and exhibits in a small space - see everything in an hour . Boats being restored in workshop .

Happened across this museum by chance. A volunteer gave us a very informative guided tool which we all thoroughly enjoyed! Lots of information and exhibits of Pembrokeshire Maritime History including many surviving boats. Several underfunded projects underway worthy of public support so do go along if you are in the area and see for yourself. Well worth a visit if you have an interest in maritime history of any kind!

I served my apprenticeship, as a marine fitter / turner here when the company was building ships, but sadly went into liquidation in 1978, when I finished with them, great museum, well worth a look & now there is a book been written about it by Mr. David James & that's worth a read. Well worth a visit if in the area !

Small museum, giving a fascinating, and informative insight, to Pembroke Dock' s maritime history, in both documentary, pictorial, and exhibit form. Volunteers very friendly, and willing to discuss exhibits being renovated. No admission charge, but donations appreciated, well worth a visit.

An eclectic collet ion of boats, photographs, marine memorabilia and other ephemera celebrating and showcasing the life and history of the Cleddau waterway, the coastal waters of Pembrokeshire, the Naval Dockyard, the private shipyards of the area and some maritime wartime tragedies.
Staffed by such enthusiastic people who bring these items to life. There are models, restored wooden vessels (up to 7m length), various boat building and restoration projects under way.
It's a bit difficult to find unless you are aware that it's there - but it richly rewards you for the investment of a couple of hours of your time. What's more it's free to enter - but richly deserving of your support as they have very little financial backing.
