Really pretty place to visit, lovely gardens. Nice place to bring a picnic. There's also a cafe, decent kids play area and an area to buy plants. We've visited on a couple different occasions, once at Easter when it gets very busy. They do a Easter egg hunt around the grounds, plenty of plastic eggs to find which the kids... More

Well worth a visit to see these well tended and beautiful gardens. Cafe on sight for a lovely cuppa and slice of cake.

This is one of my favourite places that we visit regularly throughout the year. At the Easter holidays the cafe is open and is even better as you can get fed and watered for a reasonable price. It is a little retreat to meet friends/family and have a walk around the gardens. We often visit the church which has some... More

We have been season ticket holders for sometime now and regularly pay a visit. Our 3 year old loves running about in the extensive and secure gardens, the orangery is beautiful - stocked with exotic plants and a large fish pond, the menargerie is always a firm favorite with the playful meerkats and marmosets amongst other animals and birds. The... More

Given that we visited these gardens out of season in early March our expectations were not too high, however we were lucky that the weather was kind to us and that we could enjoy a peaceful wander around the charming gardens and various children's play areas and menageries. Sadly we were not able to sample the tea rooms on site... More

We often visit this local garden throughout the year. Most areas are wheelchair friendly - one can be borrowed for the visit. Certainly it is worth a visit during the warmer months.

Although I am only up the road from Castle Ashby I still try and visit a few times a year. Is a beautiful gardens and very well maintained. Always worth a visit even if it is just to go and see the Pigs!

This place has so much potential to be amazing however except for the location and setting the offering is very basic at best...

My trip was with friend from America they wanted to see a stately home so I took them for High tea at Castle Ashby, be warned you have to book tea 24hrs in advance. The gardens were beautiful. we walked and chattered about everything there.

Sunning surroundings to have a walk. We visited for the pumpkin hunt which was brilliant and the kids loved it. Fantastic views and a lovely coffee shop at the finish. Can also highly recommend the play area. A great unexpected treat for the kids
