On a sunny day like today we could see for miles , the beach was almost empty . It was so clean and a pleasure to stroll in a clean environment

If your a fisherman not a bad mark.theres a good run of thornbacks & some decent smooth hounds in the peeler crab season.late March to mid may. That’s when I’ve had the best results

Beaut setting and location. Can be a bit of a bug zone when beach diggers are out March-June. Busy road and now with paid parking which detracts from the experience.

We loved Sandgate. Ok the beach is shingle but it is exceptionally clean and Sandgate itself is charming. The weather was brilliant but even so this part of Kent would be worth visiting at anytime of the year.

A lot of Sandgate is permit controlled but you can park in these areas for 2 hours but cannot return for at least 2 hours. There is Free car Parking available along Sandgate Esplanade There is also Free Parking for up to 24... More

Im not sure about pools but you can walk along the beach towards folkestone to the lower leas coastal park.
