Free entry for English Heritage members. Make sure that you find the rather hidden spiral staircase up to the prior's room and chapel on the first floor. There is a heavy door with a stiff handle at the top of the spiral staircase - needs...More

Lovely place much larger than anticipated. Well kept as you would expect. Big place for so few monks the audio guide was good.

Thank you for your review - I am so pleased you enjoyed your visit, it is a very peaceful site, no wonder the Warrenes chose this site to build their Priory!

This is a wonderful place to relax with the family, on a fine day it has some lovely spots for family picnic. Their still enough of the original facings, to identify what a wealthy abbey is was.
