We had a lovely Sunday afternoon here after buying a voucher for entry. Family entry for £12 (with Groupon/living social) voucher definitely makes this an extremely good value for money day out. Particular highlights were the peacocks roaming freely, the play area and the reptile handling. The staff were really knowledgable and the zoo was clean and welcoming. It looked... More

Been meaning to go here for years but we eventually visited 1st May. We were really impressed with the number of different species as we weren't expecting much more meerkats, birds & lemurs. All the staff were lovely, very helpful and could answer any questions. They had vast knowledge of the different species. There are over 200 currently housed in... More

We took our 6 and 8 year old here who love animals and it's a really nice little zoo with informative talks and an easy layout. There were plenty of talks and animal encounters from. Meerkats to rabbits and bearded dragons and corn snakes. Decent variety of animals for the size and it was super cheap (may be £13 for... More

This is a fantastic little zoo and you can easily spend a couple of hours here. The animals look happy and the premises are really well kept. The only aspect I find really worrying is the level of English shown here. This might be due to students from Northumberland College taking part in the creation of this attraction?! Did students... Set in beautiful surroundings and part of a working agricultural college. We visited on bank holiday Monday and it seems a lot of others had the same idea. There was plenty parking including for disabled. There were Easter activities on, which we didn't get time to visit but I gather there were arts and crafts. We were there 5 hours... More

Went here today, 4 adults and a 6 year old. Zoo opens at 10am, we got there at around 9:50am and the car park was just beginning to fill up. Like other reviewers have commented, please do not get this place mixed up with a much larger zoo. It's certainly no Longleat or Chester Zoo, there's still plenty to see... More
