I hacked my horse through part of these woods and had a lovely time with lots of privacy and peace. Some of the tracks are rather overgrown though, both at ground level and for those of us on taller horses.

Run by the forestry commission. Interesting visitor information but a bit limited. Good for nature, birds and dog walking. Free parking.
