This is a nice place to wander and feel like a kid (sort of) breaking in on private property. It's not that big a deal as long as you are modest and respectful. This is a converted fort that is now condos and summer homes...More

This is an very interesting fort from the looks of it but there is nothing left of the historical buildings to visit and enjoy - all have been converted into appartments. There is however and large and very good-looking pool on the premises but I...More

This is a good place for taking photos of Malta, Comino and Gozo harbour. Unfortunately Fort Chambray was turned into a gated community. It now consists of apartments and swimming pools. As a gated community you are likely to run in to security guards who...More

Fort Chambray can be seen from afar as you approach the island of Gozo on the ferry from Malta. It is a development in Ghajnsielem, standing high on the rocks above the harbour in Mgarr. The site is well worth visiting as it offers opportunities...More

Well worth the walk. Take in the old battlements, look down to find ancient soldiers graves, the old mess rooms and soldiers billets. Half of Fort Chambre is now tastefully developed into holiday homes with huge pool. Walk on the perimeter and just take in...More
