Not the cleanest place I have been to, but interesting just the same. The animals seemed well cared for and this place is more for the animals than the tourists.

Looks after and cares for animals that were abandoned or other reason and ensures they have a long healthy life with love and care. Please support it by visiting, all of price goes to maintaining the rescue centre, and the owner has some amazing stories.

The staff really care for the animals they are housing here. It was also appreciated that they let us return to see the animals days after our first visit.

Owner provides good commentary on wildlife. Worth going at feeding times. Entrance fee allows you to return in evening (see nocturnal animals). Nice to see La Selva provides refuge for some endangered species

The woman who owned the place was very nice. She gave us a tour and let us hang out for a bit after. There are a lot of animals there that I've never seen in the wild or at zoos. If you go in the...More
