Only 3km away from the centre of Zabljak, Malo (Small) and Veliko (Big) Lakes merge into Crno (Black) Lake. This lake is specific for its dark blue shade of water, which often seems black, and the effect is created by the Lake's depth and the dense Durmitor pine forest surrounding it.

As with any lake be ready for a long walk. We went for the day and walked all the way around the lake in about 4 hours. Very picturesque lake and surroundings.

This lake is very similar to Morskie Oko in Poland, but much less touristic. Perfect for a long walk. Additionally, you can go around the lake, and see it from all the perspectives. But be careful, there are few episodes on the way, when you...More

The lake is good for an easy walk around the perimeter (45 mins - 1hr), or in any of the other trails around the area. It's quiet and peaceful once you get away from the main entrance (which costs EUR 3 to get in). Worth...More

I am surprised of the good reviews at tripadvisor. Maybe Montenegro is so boring that people have nothing else to do... It was very boring in here - lake is small, water - cold (visited August 27) and I saw only 1 person swimming at...More
