We perform guided tours of Vinicola Benanti during the week. We start with an excursion on the vineyard Monte Serra, which is an ex crater of the Etna. Here we have the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio vines, with major part pre-philoxera and older than 100 years. We will continue by visiting the ‘palmento’ which dates from 1700. Following the tour there will be a local brunch accompanied with our most selective volcanic wines.

Sicilian wine tasting tends to go a certain way: tour, history, antipasti, wine. That's very interesting, but also somewhat limiting - I don't want to do it more than once or twice during a vacation! But if you're going to be spending two or three...More

The visit to this winery was my favorite activity on the excellent Rick Steves tour from which we just returned. The brothers and their father have created a very special place on Mt. Etna. Luckily, the rain stopped and we were able to walk up...More

Recently spent a few hours at the vineyard, the antique wine press (palmento) was neat, the reds are good, the whites are "ok", a few options for appetizers (peanuts, pistachios, olive and tomato paste on toast, which would have all been fine for a wine...More

We had a wonderful afternoon at Benanti as part of our honeymoon. Salvino could not have been more helpful, generous or engaging. He clearly feels very passionately about what he does, and strives for the highest standards. Given this, you might expect a reluctant attitude...More

I would encourage you to contact them directly to try to arrange this, as this is not something most places in Italy do. Generally restaurant only operate starting at noon.
