Not for those who arent in moderately good shape! You will see all the warnings as you go about altitude sickness and vertigo and wonder what the hell you got yourself into. Still, if you make it to the top without a major medical emergency...More
The view from the top makes it worth the 646 steps to get there. This is one of the principal attractions in Guatapé. Parking is 6000 pesos and admission is another 18,000 pesos per person. The climb, for most people, is relatively easy and there...More
this place has it all. its romantic, its adventurous, and you can do everything there in Gautape including sea doos, boat rides, horse rides, live music mariachi style, and the view from the top was something to behold and cherish. plus they got a bar...More
The climb wasn't as bad as I anticipated. The view from the top made is worth every step. Very reasonable admission price ($18,000 COP). We went quite early so the top viewpoint wasn't packed and it was easy to get good pictures. We took a...More
Thanks to previous travel bloggers for paving the way and giving us direction for our own trip. Taking into account the previously-shared knowledge, here was our experience:

If you are there, you must go to the top. I visited with my father who is 75 this year and we did it! 749 stairs all the way up, you can do it slowly with stops now and then, on the top you have...More
The climb to the top is very doable and the views are definitely impressive from there. Unfortunately the experience of the natural feature itself is marred by the restaurants and shops on top, the staircases going up and down, the big G1 painted on one...More
Its a big rock with beautiful views. Definitely worth the hike and not all that tough. The views from the top are incredible. It gets packed after about 11am.

There is a sign saying they are not allowed and I don’t think it would be a good idea to take a pet all the way up there. The steps are steep in some spots and it can get a little crowded.
