About
Bendalong Beach stretches between the villages of Bendalong and Manyana. The beach faces south-east and is a great place for taking the family and enjoying some bigger waves to go body boarding or play games on the sand. There are occasionally good waves for learning how to surf. You can stay in a holiday house or at the nearby holiday park.

Had a great experience with Stingrays further up the coast on another visit a few years ago our hosts were keen we had another. Went to Bendalong beach with chilli (esky) of pilchards twice and had a real adventure feeding the stingrays we were the only ones with food so were able to give others a similar adventure. They come over your hand and suck the food out of your fingers have done it several times with no mishaps. When we started feeding them numbers increased from 1 or 2 to 10 or 12 so really worth doing if you want a good stingray experience.

My wife and I enjoy wildlife experiences as much as we can when on holiday and this is a great one for free.

Lovely large caravan park with lots of wildlife next to a leash free dog beach. Plenty of walking tracks leading to lovely beaches and scenic headlands.

Wonderful calm beach, perfect for the kids. nice and clean with toilets, outdoor shower, and a kids playground. It was amazing watching the stingrays swim past, sticking their flippers out of the water and giving us a wave

There are several wonderful beaches at Bendalong, and a boat ramp beach area - Boat Harbour Beach, Washerwomans Beach, Dee Beach, Flat Rock Beach and Monument Beach. Except for the first one, which is calm and very safe for children, they all have good waves and mostly large expanses of sand. If you are interested in a walk and a bit of history, we parked in designated parking area at the northern end of Holly Street, and walked the Nerindillah Lagoon walking track from there, in the bush mostly parallel with the beach. Towards the end, around one kilometre, you reach the lagoon and its entrance to the sea. At low tide, you can cross the thin waterway between lagoon and sea to a pathway to the Walter Hood Monument, 50 metres only. It is then a pleasant walk back along Monument Beach to a pathway back to the carpark near Flat Rock Beach. Allow about 45 minutes. Also, at different times you can see stingrays at the boat ramp, so worth a quick trip there to see if any activity.

We camped at Holiday Haven Bendalong last December which great. It seemed like most of the time we had Bendalong Beach all to ourselves! Very clean beach, beautiful spot, no crowds, calm water for little kids.

Excellent beach!

Going for a surf in North East wind conditions NE swell. We have a really good conditions and a good bank with lefts running up the beach. We have crazy bush fires atm and the whole beach Is covered in ash and piles of burnt leafs everywhere that look like sea weed. Awesome place to hang for a day in the smoke laden sky

So happy to stumble across Bendalong, beautiful beaches for surfing, swimming, boating and dogs. Traveling with our dog we often find many areas are not dog friendly at all but definitely not the case here, 24/7 dog beach at Washerwoman. The bull rays swim up and rub against you at boat ramp beach, they're such graceful creatures - AMAZING! Had some pretty epic sunsets here too!

We visited the beach one morning just as the local fisherman were cleaning their catch and sharing the scraps with the pelicans and stingrays. It was amazing seeing the rays so close, it was definitely a highlight of our holiday!

We’ve been going to Bendalong caravan park for years and love the quick nature aspect. Such a shame to see a group of kangaroos being chased by a large black dog through the park this weekend and my husband nearly being hit by one of the kangaroos in the process. Then dog poo left throughout the park, dogs barking/fighting and dogs being left to roam off lead. The kangaroos will surely move on if this continues.
