Beautiful place, so well maintained and cared for. Very humbling to see and thought provoking. Each grave in date order beautifully carved with regiment emblem. Very peaceful and calm in contrast to the reason for it being there. Well worth a visit.

The largest cwgc cemetery in France serving soldiers of both wars. The WW1 ones are from a hospital and this was part of the theatre of war. Very sombre sight.

well maintained cemetery, well looked and cared after graves, the whole experience is very humbling, was fascinating to see that families from as far as Canada had visited the graves and left messages for their past loved ones.

Sir Edwin Lutyens designed the fantastic memorial at this, the largest of the war grave sites in France. There is a beauty to the sight, an awesome landscape of white gravestones that is hard to comprehend relates to over 13,000 dead soldiers. I particularly wanted...More

This is a really lovely cemetery and if you have a relative who you know is buried here you should go and lay a poppy on their grave.

Our second trip to Etaples to commemorate 100yrs of my husbands great uncle who died of his wounds in the First World War, it's a beautiful cemetery & well maintained. It may not be on many war grave tours but it's well worth a visit.

I believe you can visit any time during day time hours. There is a lay-by outside where you can park. Just like any other military cemetery it is a very tranquil spot. Hope this helps.
