The Argentario Golf Club, which hosts various of the most important golf tournaments in Tuscany and Italy, features 18 panoramic holes for a total of 6,218 metres and par 71. The course has been awarded the “Agri Cert” certification for its bio eco-compatibility, and all products used for its maintenance are completely natural.

The golf course is located in a protected natural area, only 5 minutes from the Duna Feniglia Nature Reserve and 25 km from the Parco dell’Uccellina Reserve. The Orbetello Lagoon, the sea and the hillside offer a beautiful panorama and create a microclimate that allows golf to be played at any time of the year.

The 18-hole golf course and the driving range, which were inaugurated in 2006, have been designed by the architect David Mezzacane and the professional golfer Baldovino Dassu. The holes were subsequently shaped by Brian Jorgensen: the result is a varied, spectacular and technically challenging course.

Among the 18 panoramic holes with mostly small greens, two dominate the sea and the lagoon, one is immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation, and another features water hazard running along one side of the green. A refreshing breeze mitigates the temperature and adds an extra challenge to the game which, on this course, requires a combination of accuracy and power.

Golf Academy - A unique opportunity for golf lovers: one of Italy’s best Pros, Emanuele Canonica – winner of the 2005 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, only player to have participated in all golf tours (Europe, USA, Asia) – will put his experience at the disposal of those who wish to improve their game.

The latest teaching technologies will be used, including audiovisual equipment to analyze the movements, specific machines for improving the swing quickly, plus all training sessions will be recorded and monitored to evaluate the evolution of your game.

In the Academy, players will be able to test the latest of the best golf equipment and to customize their clubs through specialized fitting procedures and tools, to obtain the ideal golf set.

In particular, the Argentario Golf Club features the TrackMan IIIe simulator, a last-generation platform for the analysis of the swing, of the ball’s trajectory and impact, and many other aspects that allow to determine what the best clubs are and to maximize the results for any professional or amateur player.

We played a round of golf with course conditions average at best although the dry weather had much to do with it. Front nine were very difficult with back nine more playable. Service was good. We did not experience the hotel which has a beautiful contemporary design in stark contrast with the rugged landscape

The Argentario promontory anchored by the well known beach towns of Porto Ercole and Santo Stefano to the south and north and by the city of Orbetello, rich in history as a Spanish fort, is a great location to combine both beach and golf time. In this region, the Argentario Golf Club (Saturnia and Punta Ala also reviewed in TA)... More

We took our clubs out on this challenging course. It brings the best (and worst) in you. The design of the course is amazing, around the mountain and into the fields. Beautiful views and holes with great opportunities to score a par or birdie if you dare to take the risk. We loved it

enjoyed the remote setting with a view of the water once we found the place. The resort is very attractive though weirdly furnished in common areas. The spa leaves much to be desired in terms of ammenities and staff support. They seem to have problems with their air conditioning as the health club was almost as hot as the temperatiure... More

We were a family of seven in 3 rooms. The kids ages 13-23, had two rooms in the lower levels which we referred to as the sanitorium section. Everything was white, the floors, the walls, the ceilings. The rooms were spacious with large patios. We had a junior suite on the other side of the hotel. It was a very... More
