Come and discover the château of Champs-sur-Marne located 18km to the east of Paris and one of the finest examples of neo-classical architecture in the Île-de-France region. Its rococo decoration and rich furniture bring back to life the refined setting of Enlightenment country houses.

Beautifully restored, well presented both as a monument, and as a family home. Has been the scene of many films, and witness to royal and other famous visitors. the explanatory devices in every room cleverly document the history and events of the past. Both the...More

It is a very beautiful castle with sprawling gardens. These are spread out as far as eyes can see. So much green around is very inviting to take a walk.

We had a long walk in this huge garden with a nice panoramic view. It was peaceful with few visitors. We enjoyed the walk.

Classic chateau from the 1700s in the style of Versailles. Of course much smaller but also less touristy and less expensive. The interior has been used in several historical movies, including to represent Versailles. Beautiful sloping garden with a view over the Marne river valley....More

Let me get this "negative" out of the way: it's a little, just a little, work to get here. But the positive side is that, other than the sheer elegance of the place, it's the best asset - few people bother to make the effort....More

Very nice place , well reserved . I haven't been inside to the Chateau , but outside , it's also pretty awesome. Got a huge open space behind of Château , very nice downhill view , and around it, there is huge forest .

We visited here as we were running out of time to visit Versailles and wanted to have visited at least one castle during our trip to France! There's an easy access car park across the road, although aim to get there early because it fills...More

Worth the travel there by car. You need a GPS for sure, but for 7.50 Euros, the admission fee was reasonable. Gives a good sense of history. Great large grounds for very long walks on the trails. Take unlimited pictures (no flash).

If you're staying near Disneyland (or even in Paris) go visit this castle! It's cheaper, calmer and closer than Versailles. The castle is well maintained and the garden is huge ! A really nice place to have a piquenique for example. Also it's easy to...More

The Chateau is about 30 minutes away from Disneyland Paris. It often takes longer than what Google maps say. Look on a computer first to get the idea of where you are going. Then in the car, use an up to date GPS, as it is... More
