Interesting history and beautiful scenery. Great place to ride bikes, or just explore the area. Highly recommend.

Hire a bike from Stari Grad and explore on two wheels. Bit bumpy but worth a sore bottom for the views and experience.

Riding along the road through Stari Grad Plain was a treat. The usual grape vines and olive trees of course but to know that the fields were initially set up over a thousand years ago by the Greeks gives a special sense of history. Dropping...More

We drove through this area and enjoyed seeing the stone walls that have separated the land into plots. These plots have been used for over 2,400 years! The plots contain grapes, lavender and olive trees.

Average rating due to it being a UNESCO site. Like most things in Croatia, it is poorly maintained and a lost potential to being a really great tourist attraction. Regardless, being someplace that was surveyed, laid out and has been farmed the same for 2400...More

Take a walk for a few km's through the Ancient stone walls and vinyards and olive groves. But wear a hat in the heat in August.

A family ride across the planes was a good way to get an active day into our holiday. We hired bikes in Stari Grad (good quality bikes too!) and headed off across the plains to Vrboska and Jelsa, stopping for a swim along the coast...More

It's a nice bike ride from Stari Grad to Vrboska but there's not much to see along the way. The trails and roads are all pretty flat so it doesn't take much effort. Give it a shot if you need some time away from the...More

We rented some bikes and had a wonderful trip to Vrboska and Jelsa - and back. Very nice trip across the plains, through a beautiful landscape.

Hi, it took us 15/20 minutes to cycle to V and maybe 10 to cycle to Jelsa. We came back by a different route which was well worth doing. It was hot so bring plenty of water. It's a fairly easy cycle to do.
