We parked here after driving around the treacherous mountian to Hvar town. We walked the grounds then down into the city. It has a nice view of the city and the city itself is large but walkable and has lots of good restaurants and shopping.

It's a wonderful experience to experience some of the legacies dating from a few centuries ago, since Old Town (Stari Grad) is one of the oldest cities in Europe.

It's a small castle or better say villa which was made by/for Petar Hektorovic, famous Croatian poet. Beware that Tvrdalj is 450 years old. There a fishpond inside and whole place is so tranquil that I recommend taking a book and sitting in the garden...More
