It's a small castle or better say villa which was made by/for Petar Hektorovic, famous Croatian poet. Beware that Tvrdalj is 450 years old. There a fishpond inside and whole place is so tranquil that I recommend taking a book and sitting in the garden...More

A large town house built by a poet with a beautiful fish pond and an extensive garden. You can see the old kitchen with the olive oil press and the dough maker. But no access to the main building and a garden in need of...More

This was a nice place to visit, but doesn't take up much time to see everything and was a bit neglected. The gardens needed a bit of tending to, and while the fish pool was nice, it was about it. They have some old equipment...More

For about 15 kuna you get to explore the villa of a famous Croatian poet. The architecture and views from the top are amazing.

Very cool and there is a lot of history, but as the title says it is run down. It is worth a visit if you are in the area to check it out though.

Like many attractions in Croatia, this is a lost opportunity for tourist revenue. Ancestors (I believe) live in the upper floors and very little has been done in the remainder of the structure. Still it is inexpensive and an interesting concept.

İts good but not to much necessary to see... its like a garden more than a castle. And the enterance is not so much expensive you can go inside with 15 or 20 hrk. İ dont remember now. But again its not so necessary

Mis informed it would take a while to visit. Just located in main square. Small gardens and fish pond to walk around- very tranquil but not much else. Unless meditating, this visit will not take long, although pleased to have gone.

Very nice historical place! In need of some loving and better care but still takes your breath away when you enter see those arches and fish pond! One thing that Croatian historical places are lacking and will need to change if they ever want to...More

This place is not really a castle, perhaps a mansion big enough. The guide explained the history of this place and the great poet Hektorovic. There is a nice , calm and beautiful garden around.
