Gravina in Puglia actually has little to offer, other than the spectacular Palazzo Sottile Meninni. A great small church right by this hotel (the one with the skulls and crossbones). Pay the 3 euros and go in with a guide. The Sotterranea tour really just...More

A good way to see an aspect (underground) of an old Puglia city. It was not expensive and it was interesting. The guide did speak adequate English.

A once in a lifetime experience. The whole town of Gravina sits on a Warren of limestone caves that were extended by excavations to use their blocks as building materials. You get to walk down in a huge such cavern. Fascinating.

Didn't know what to expect when we went, hidden in a side street, but opened up into a wonderful 2 hour trip under and around the town. Excellent guide, only young but very knowledgable. There's a surprise story around every corner. I was fascinated by...More
