Fantastic place to take the children. Lots to see and very informative. Brilliant if they are taking science in school. There is a cafe inside but take your own as quite expensive. Great day out. Then go on the ferry over the mersey.

Combined the visit with the U Boat museum and the Mersey boat trip which made it financially worthwhile. For this it gets marked up. The children enjoyed it which is the main thing. Loads of information on show about the Solar System which can take some time to read . The simulator is a bit of fun while the domed... More

Thanks for the review. The combined Mersey Ferry/Spaceport & U-boat Story does offer great value for a full day out. I'm really pleased you enjoyed our 360 degree space dome theatre show which has recently been upgraded with a new projection system. Thanks again for visiting Spaceport. More

We do not feel this was on a par with another massive space museum/centre we have visited. However, it was worth a visit and the Star Wars exhibition filled it a bit. We enjoyed the trip over the Mersey and bought a combined ticket. The virtual 'ride' you can go on is a laugh and people of all ages seemed... More

Visited with 2 grandchildren aged 10 and 8. There is something for everyone. The visiting Star Wars exhibition has all our favourites, Yoda, Chewbacca, Ewoks and R2D2 and many more figures and artefacts. Enter via the space pod then lots of hands on exhibits and information. We took a ride in the simulator and saw a planetarium show. The children... More

I have been a few time, each time with a deal so haven't had to pay full price . Personally I think it's overpriced as it only takes an hour or so. It's nicely laid out and do informative but is certainly not in the league of the Kennedy Space Centre. There is a small simulator and enough to kill... More

Spaceport is brilliant. My young son loved exploring space through the spaceship concept. Entering as a briefed astronaut brought space to life; the planetarium was comfortable with an outstanding film; the virtual roller coaster over an unknown planet was great fun for all ages; the stands and displays were educational yet fun. Upstairs offered a fun insight into space again... More

We visited here about 2 years ago and our children were just too young to enjoy it. Now our children are 6 & 8 they enjoyed it much more. I wouldn't say appropriate for younger children. First of all you enter a room (pretend space pod) and watch a short video on a large screen made up of 9 tv... More

I wasn't sure what to expect in view of the recent negative reviews. Nevertheless, with a rainy day forecasted and 5 children between the ages of 2 and 10 to entertain, our group (3 families) decided to give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised - the kids had a great time and there was enough to keep the adults... More
