Love this restaurant! Great atmosphere, lovely setting and the food is wonderful. Tapas style share plates with a really good variety of dishes. A free drink for my husband for Fathers Day was a very nice touch.

Great cocktails, cool vibe, nice music and the food is divine. Love this place. Ideal to go for a romantic night for 2 or with a small group of friends. Not very big so not ideal for large group of people.

We had a night out for two and enjoyed ourselves. The food was seriously good, the environment was great and the service was excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

What an amazing find. We stumbled upon this only two minutes walk from the Milsons Point station.
Amazing food, great vibe, perfect portion sizes. And live music on Sundays that was just pleasant.
You won't be disappointed.

Thanks Chris. We loved the personalised progression of drinks service, surprising gin can be so surprising. cauliflower is also good, but who can forget the salmon tail and cauliflower florets bursting with flavour. Of course the best part of the night was the floret flourish in the floral ginny pigs. mwa

We had dinner here last week. The food was lovely and the drinks were very nice - however felt a little small for the given price. The service was very attentive. The tables are somewhat communal and it was very loud. Great experience!

Went there before, a while ago.
The venue
The place looks amazing, nice fittings, feels special. Excellent choice of music, not too loud, good sound system, light was just right (I don’t like too dark or too bright). I loved the tables made of very old recycled wood.
The service
Was disappointing to say the least.
We were recommended sliders (tiny burgers) for the kids and had... spicy (hot/chili ) sliders. I tried myself, it was damn hot.
“It’s strange, we have served a lot of kids with this dish and never had a complaint”.
To their credit, they did not count this dish when I notified the fact that very few kids would eat dishes with chili.
We reordered and the kids got their food at least 45 minutes after we ordered it.
Special mentions:
Ordered a few times water without success, waitresses chatting while we wanted to order, no salt/pepper on the table, water was straight out the tape (not chilled), etc.

At the time (1:30pm on a Saturday), we were 11 patrons, including a table of 3 having just drinks.
I looked at the kitchen: the chef was standing there doing nothing and they were 5 staffs.
The food itself was nice to look and good but not up to the price tag.
Was lacking of salt but that is a personal opinion.
Maybe this venue is more a bar than a restaurant but, as a restaurant, it’s a miss.
2 mains, 2 sides, 1 entree, 1 slider, 2 jugs of sangria = $200+

For years, we have subscribed with friends to the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli, after which we have gone to assorted restaurants – always passing The Botanist Kirribilli, without thought of dining there. How stupid of us, as we have been missing out BIG-time, on a fabulous meal. Just for something different, we gave it a try recently and WOW! what a great meal . From the moment we entered, we picked up on a great "vibe", and every dish was a winner. Dishes are designed to be shared, and on this initial occasion we selected à la carte though there is a very good preselected degustation option for $49 which we plan to try out the next visit. If there is one negative, it is that parking in Kirribilli is always problematic, though fortunately there are a number of unmetered two-hour parks available within easy walking distance.

We used to love going here but now the menu is not as good and it is not value for money. Won't be going back in a hurry.

This has been a regular favourite of mine since they opened, and the continue to delight. The service is always friendly and attentive, and I've been found an 'impossible' table on a busy night more than once. The only thing I think has slipped a little is the cocktails...they used to be standouts, but the rest of Sydney has really caught up and overtaken them. To be clear - they still mix a good drink, it's just not quite as wow as it once was. But they make up for it with a killer dessert so I'm happy!
