We found this to be a nice tour. From our pick up at the hotel when we meet our driver/tour guide. This was a very small group of 11 people. Our tour guide wes quite knowledgeable on local history with lots of interesting facts on the hour and a half ride to wine country. The vineyards were all small boutique`s.... More

Four great wineries on the tour, and just enough time to taste some cheese and chocolate along the way. The tour experience could have been more engaging. Would have appreciated introductions to everyone on the tour, more knowledge sharing about the area on the drives up and back, etc. Tasting room staff made the trip, while the guide was nice,... Loves the wine, scenery and the food. Got to say the dessert wine is the best for my preference. Definitely a must buy when you make your visit here

We enjoyed our day out. The minibus was comfortable and the guide really looked after us. We enjoyed the Smelly Cheese Factory, the minibrewery where we had lunch, the chocolate and the gelato. However, we were very disappointed in the quality of the wine. We do not claim to be connoisseurs but we regularly enjoy a glass of wine. Unfortunately,... More

We did a full day wine tour with Activities Tours. Great time. Small boutique wineries were on the agenda, and they had a diverse selection of wines to taste, so something for everyone. We also made a quick stop at the Smelly Cheese shop, which i think we would have voted to skip and instead go to another winery. Our... More

An area well worth the visit plenty to see wineries are of a high standard as is the Hunter Valley wines. A must see is the Hunter Valley Gardens, the hotel near the HVG is excellent. Best to make a weekend visit, great restaurants, and reasonable accommodation is available and a variety of tours.

My husband and I went on this trip last month on a long weekend to Sydney and it was great. The owner runs the tour himself which made a good impression on us as this usually means they will do a good job! We were a little dubious as it was the cheapest tour out to the Hunter Valley but... More
