Interesting description and learning session on how pearls are cultured, harvested and used commercially. Very friendly but really interested in selling their pearls. Pearls were much cheaper in and outside of the market in Raiatea.

Morning to early afternoon snorkeling is usually better as the wind can come up in the afternoons and the sun is lower so there is less direct light. Still fun though!
