The dive sites are really nice and the plastic is kept at a minimum.
It is however unclear how well the site is really protected seeing the status of the top reef - too many snorklers that stand on the reef!
Off the beaten track beautiful island that should be on your 'to dive' list if you're a keen diver - deep walls with pristine coral and fans - well worth the effort. Froggies dive resort was amazing too.

Bunaken marine park, is just 10-15 boat ride from grand luley hotel, the waters are clear & the wall reefs make an excellent dive spots; there are at least 50 dive spots around the island.

If u stay on Bunaken island it is really for people who dive and snorkel. There isn't much else to do. We hired a scooter and explored but mostly the coral, fish and turtles are the attraction. Go to Cakalang resort.
