Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked in and were greeted immediately even though other people were tasting. The friendly woman who served us brought glasses and served us three delicious wines, a white (Posip), a rose of Plavic Mali and a red of the same grape. I told her I grow Zinfandel in Oregon and she knew the two shared parentage in an ancient Croatian variety. We bought a bottle of the rose and left very happy.

This was one of the many stops we had on a tour that we booked with our cruise ship. The family that ran the winery was very nice, but the wine offerings were just okay. We did talk with other passengers at dinner, and some went to multiple wineries on a tasting tour and agreed that the wines sampled were just okay.

We wanted to try a local winery, and I think it was the best choice that we opted for this one. The wines and the presentation of the production was delightful. The host is very kind. As she said, it was like we visited “their home”. Everything was so familiar and welcoming. We liked every moment here. Totally recommend. :)

Beautiful setting and friendly owner guided us thru a tasting of two wines (white and rose). Beautiful patio area to enjoy wine on.
Point off since only two wines to taste and limted seating

Very nice Posip, most enjoyable only 70 kn per bottle for current vintage, a bargain. The lady who conducted the tasting was very knowledgeable and made it very enjoyable experience.

We are here back after year, and again we are excited. For us the best winery in Korcula. Modern thinking in the production of wine with respect for tradition and terroir. Really expecional. Good luck Toreta! 😍

Toretain the town of Smocvica bottle their own wine (red, white and dessert wine) made from the posip grape that grows only on the isle of Kocula and nowhere else in Croatia. The wineshop is authentic and a little wine tastery was organised for us. Nice place, good wines and a lovely atmosphere.

Stopped by on a bike trip. Very small village. Not touristy. Lots of history in this multi-generation owned and family operated winery. Gives you some history of how things were done, and how they have changed for a very small winery. Great wines. Samples for a small fee, but free if you buy a bottle of wine. Very affordable and good. Wonderful view from their deck.

Spent an hour sampling the wine on their terrace. Each wine in the tasting was explained. Wine is so personal, but my wife and I both chose the same two wines to buy. While there we met two delightful American ladies, so we had great wine and conversation. I’d recommend a visit.

The guys at Toreta are a small family business that make great white wine in a stunning situation in the middle of Korcula. Definitely worth a visit!
