Our estate winery, faithful to the chateau philosophy, makes terroir wines in Páganos. Located in the “Golden Mile" of Rioja Alavesa, we make our wines exclusively from our own vineyards. Our Reserva Torre de Oña and Crianza Finca San Martín highlight the personality of the privileged terroir where they grow. Set in a spectacular setting on the slopes of Sierra de Cantabria, this oasis nestled among the vines offers a delightful guided visit and stay.

Torre de Oña is a short 2 km from Laguardia in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa. It's not a boutique winery, by any means, but the English tour (reservations required) was very personable and the discussion wide ranging. What sets this apart from the other bodegas in Laguardia is that the tour starts out in the vineyard, so one... More

I am much belated in writing this review, as we visited a year ago, but Torre de Ona is a must-stop bodega! We were lucky enough to accidentally end up with a private tour, just my fiance, his parents and a friend. Since his parents don't speak English and I have some Spanish, we opted for a Spanish language tour.... More

The tour at Torre de Oña is a must stop if you are staying in Laguardia. The winery is in the village of Páganos, a short (~2.2 km) walk through the vineyards. What sets this apart from the other bodegas in Laguardia is that the tour starts out in the vineyard, so one gets a full perspective of the flow... More

Sadly we didn’t have time for a tour, but managed to enjoy a taste of a couple of their wines from the wine shop. Our host was very hospitable, spending time talking through the processes used to create the wine and offering some tasting tips. The shop also stocked some other drinks related paraphernalia and local produce. Well worth a... More

We had visited the winery years ago and when we found out that the Villa of the original owner at the Bodega was accessible for rent as a hotel we were on it. In the middle of an orchard of 90 year old vines. It only has 5 astounding bedrooms and you must fill them or pay for them all... More

Thanks to Izaskun for being a perfect host. I really appreciated how Terre de Ona’s tour incorporated some unique exhibits to demonstrate their distinct methodologies. For example, there’s an exhibit on racking the wine barrels that’s really cool and useful. Thank you to …. for being an excellent host. All the wines I tasted were excellent.

Very informative and friendly tasting with Izascun. The Torre de Ona Reserva 2010 was exceptional. After your visit I'd recommend heading down to Hector Oribe (just down the street), in my opinion the best restauarnt in the area.

I had some difficulty in booking a tour in English at some of the other bodegas - but not at this one. When I phoned, the hostess Izaskun was very welcoming and accommodating. In the end I wound up with essentially a private 9:30am tour. The tour was unhurried and very pleasant. This was one of 3 tours I did... More

What a great Bodega! We were very well looked after by Izaskun who gave us all the time in the world to explain the processes and history of wine making at Torre De Ona as well as asking the hundreds of questions we all had, a charming lady indeed. The bodega itself was well laid out and both the tour... More
