I had a free day on a trip to Zurich for work, so thought that the view from Uetilberg was worth a look. Several sites advised that November is a great time to visit due to the fog, but that depends on how high the fog is. After leaving my hotel early in the morning, a quick 20 minute train... More

We got the train to the site and climbed through the trees to the tower - walking through the trees and cloud was incredible. When we got to the top we were above the clouds the view was amazing - a real treat. 2 Francs to climb to the top of the tower but well worth it! Worth the effort... More

One of the “must do” activities while in Zurich. A local told us that this “would be a fun and interesting activity.” Uetliberg is 869 meters or 2851 feet high mountain that overlooks Zurich and the lake. Taking S10 from the train station, it is a twenty minute ride to the top. There are frequent trains that go every thirty... More

If you have got the 24 hour Zurich pass or 9 o clock pass, do take the ride from Zurich main station to Uetliberg famous as Zurich own Mountain..You will enjoy the train ride and once you get down, you can get great views of the Zurich city. We were travelling with an infant so didnt go for hiking. otherwise... More

Uetliberg is a nice place to go on a sunny day to get a lovely view over Zurich, the lake and the mountains. It can be reached easily from Zurich central station. Here you can climb a tower (2CHF) and get a 360 view of the surroundings below. There are a number of hiking trails as well as mountain biking... More

Perfect for a nice view on Zurich on a sunny day. You need two francs if you want to see the view from the upper tower, though.

We took the walk up to the top and took a train down. It's a great walk with awesome views on the way up. At the top we were treated with fabulous views of the Alps. Also at the top was Christ the redeemer.

Spotting the Uetliberg from afar (a rooftop in Zurich old town) we decided to hike to the tower which sits atop the berg the following day. It's quite a distance from old town and there are a number of public transport that connect to the area if walking long distances isn't your thing. But the area is easily reached in... More
