Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The 3 stars is for the view… view is 5/5 stars! Definitely nice view
As for the restaurant, we ordered the tasting menu and as each dish comes out you would think they would tell us about each dish as a fine dining experience. None of the food was that great for what we were paying. The staff wasn’t very friendly either. Definitely a restaurant for the views and that’s it

Although we only spent one night in this former monastery, we were throughly happy that we paid a visit to this place. It‘s unique for Mallorca in terms of scenery, ambiance and food quality. If you‘re looking for delicious meals in medevial walls and spartaneous, but roomy and refreshingly cold rooms during summer, Santuari de Cura is your place. Watching the sun set and seeing stars twinkle during night was amazing!

As all others wrote before - the view is amazing. It really is.
The staff was also nice & welcoming.

There're only few rooms with balconies (and they're a bit more expensive), though there's a cozy common balcony which perfectly fitted our needs - to drink one more sangria & have a chat before the sleep while gazing at the stars and Mallorca's panorama.

The hotel restaurant is worth visiting if you want a romantic dinner with your other half - the food was delicious and the view was nice too. Though I'd recommend to book the table day or two in advance.

We visited Santuari de Cura on July, so it was pretty hot at Mallorca at that time but because of elevation, the weather is really nice at the evenings.

P.S. Would really recommend to order "One Sangria, please" as I was doing every evening at the hotel restaurant. Really refreshing, quiet strong and tasty. Not so sure what was actually mixed there because of my poor skills of Spanish, but it was really good.

The Cura as the name implies was once a very old hospital convalescing centre. Since it has been taken over by a local family just over two years ago, the vast improvements are there for all to see, We drove to the top of the Puig De Randa, just over 500 metres above sea level, and the view is spectacular. On a clear day it is possible to see the 4 corners of the island! We didn't stay at the hotel, but had a marvelous meal on the terrace, and had timed it to see the beautiful and stunning sunset. The menu is of a European style and contains fish, chicken, steaks, pork, & vegetarian meals there is an excellent choice available for all tastes. Would recommend the Blue-fin tuna starter superb. I had the crusted salmon, my wife the sole stuffed with fresh prawns and our friend chose the pork medallions in a mustard sauce. All were extremely enjoyable and well cooked and presented! In my opinion it is definitely worth the journey not only for the food but the fine views which will await you! A beautiful, peaceful place to spend a summer evening, away from the crowds!

Quite a testing uphill road to get here and the actual buildings are beautiful but it is the 360 degree views which make the trip so worthwhile. Shame we had to find out that everything was closed and only open Saturday and Sunday, but, not sure when, but we will be back.

A very windy road up the hill - went in off-season but need to keep an eye out for massive tourist buses and a myriad of cyclists - interesting place with nice church, restaurant, etc - worth a stop by

Stayed at the santuari for three nights at the end of August '17.
The place is very quiet, sitting at the top of a hill overlooking the plains all the way to the sea.
There is a sense of peace and calm all around the property, making it a perfect place for a relaxing break.
The drive up is only 10 minutes from the nearest town and the road is very well maintained.
My room did not have a/c, but the old building was cool enough and the night breeze also helped.
I would avoid room 7 as it opens directly onto the main pedestrian route to the restaurant, meaning no privacy or view.

Same people , great service and the food is wonderful and unique. It is even great when it is real windy and fogged in. We got it all including a great sunset. Have the Majorcan ox , unbelieveable.

The drive up to the Sanctuari de Cura is a bit nerve racking for those not good with heights and narrow roads and sheer drops and tight corners however it is well worth the 15 min trip to the top of the hill. The views across the island are spectacular. We spent some time spotting various towns and landmarks around the island. It was possible to see as far as Inca and the Sa Pobla power station to the north and the bay of Palma to the West.
We had lunch in the restaurant which has a very varied menu (rabbit, ox, stuffed squid, snails) as well as the standard selection of sandwiches and hamburgers etc. The food was good, the portions ample and the service excellent.
There is an area where you can bring your own picnic if you prefer although the number of table available and the amount of shade here is limited.
There is plenty of car parking space but it never seems to be busy (we have been there 3 times now)
Well worth a visit

Firstly arrived, due to plane delays, an hour and a half after the supposed check in deadline. After fully expecting to sleep in the car the first night it turned out the receptionist had hung around and waited. What a legend!! The views once the sun had risen the next morning were genuinely breathtaking! Near 360 degree views of the entire island. It was a real pleasure to eat my take away every evening in the old courtyard while watching the sun set between the distant mountains. The fact it was 500m up on top of a small mountain made it a goid 3 degrees cooler which made the heat much more bearable at night especially. The bar was open quite late which really topped off the day as the setting of the hotel on the highest point for miles was an amazing, awe inspiring experience to round off your evening. So peaceful, it felt like a million miles from noise, hustle and bustle. Such a relaxing place to be. Definitely recommend as long as you've hired a car. And the first time you go up or down the mountain road leading to the hotel was definitely a bit scary.
