We wanted to go see Mt Fuji and was told by the concierge that public transportation was not available to get there, so we had to join a tour. My parents were looking forward to see it, but was hugely disappointed. It was too gloomy so we were not able to view anything but the gloomy clouds. As soon as... More

Missed initial pick up, slight language barrier. Once on track, Mr. Fumi our guide was well versed and kept it light. Shared great info as we trekked from Tokyo to our destinations. Was a clear day, you could really see magical Mt. Fuji. Could have spent more time there. Could have stayed a few ours in Lake Ashi. So serene,... More

We seemed to have an inexperienced guide who read her notes. Weather was unfortunate and I would advise anyone with a JR pass and time to spend around Tokyo to pick... More

The 1 day tour of Mt Fuji and Hakone from Tokyo was very good. Firstly, the transport was great. We had an air conditioned bus, not too crowded, the boat and ropeway ticket was included in the price (as well as lunch). Secondly, the sights were really good. The 5th station at Mt Fuji is pretty busy with other tourists... More

Bus operators run their business as efficient as possible, I understand that. So they pack in as many as the bus can fit, pick up from anywhere and fit in toilet-stops and lunch. All in all, a massive amount of time is wasted and very little time is left in the place that you really want to visit. Much better... More

It was very easy to get to the department coach station. t was very busy when we got there and there was some confusion (from staff) of which que we needed to be in, but everyone was very helpful. Make sure to get there early and allow time to check in. Book in advance. We went on two different tours... More

I'm not sure where to begin. This tour was so much more than I expected...the guide was kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. The traditional Japanese lunch was absolutely AMAZING. Mt Fuji was breathtaking!! I'd do this tour again because it was so much fun!!

Good way to see some of the main Tokyo sites in a day. You might feel a bit pressurised during the visits to the various places but there is no alternative if you have little time and want to see as many places as you can. The guide was very nice, knowledgeable and speaking a very good English.

they inform in brochures that there are max 12 to 20 people for a visit, but all busses are totally full, and the guide could be more friendly. specially in Kyoto we had bad experience with the guide, we were forst to pick up trash, in the bus, which was not ours, but she feld to important to do it... Highly unprofessional approach by aviator and JTB Sunrise Tours. The entire operation is outsourced (bus company, tour bus operator and so on). The bus was delayed by 30 mins at pick up point, we made multiple calls to the helpline and it kept going to the Call Center with different operator with no clear answers (first they said we missed...
