About
Each individual umbrella is handmade by an expert craftsman. The store will also take requests for order-made umbrellas and parasols, and also raincoats for your dog. Umbrellas made from Japanese kimono fabrics or other traditional textiles will make for a great gift with Japanese image. You can also take pleasure in an umbrella made with print fabrics designed by the world best designers. Japan’s traditional parasols block out UV rays and protect from the heat. With an appearance that evokes shade, they have been essential since ancient times to fight off the dog days of summer. For that purpose, the store is planning to hold workshops to help you try your hand. The passion of these craftsmen will overcome language limitations and shine as an example of wholehearted hospitality through umbrellas. Though the store itself is small, they put forth their best efforts to bring a “nico” (the Japanese word for smile) to your day when putting up our umbrella.

Neighbourhood: Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
