Neighbourhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

The new Shibuya Parco was rebuilt and opened in 2019, after the old one served its purpose for only 43 years. The old Parco opened in 1973, and has served the young generation for decades. Too bad it had to close its door due to the "deteriorating condition of the building from age". Gee,and now you know how short of the lifespan of buildings are in Japan, unlike the west.
Anyway, the lower floors consist of glitzy brand shops, whereas the upper floor offer affordable options. There are restaurants on the 6th and 7th floor. They have shops that offer video game related merchandise with their Nintendo and Capcom shops. For video game lovers, these are a must to check out.

I had no idea there was such a large Nintendo section in Shibuya. It's a place called Nintendo TOKYO, and it's on the 6th floor, so game and Nintendo fans should definitely check it out.
This facility seems to have supported the culture of Shibuya. It's the flagship store of Parco. I'll go there again when I'm in the area.

Coolest, hippest mall in Tokyo with fun stores and great food. Words won't fully describe what a great experience we had a Shibuya Parco. It's a great representation of "department store culture" in Japan. There were big name brand stores like gucci and Cartier. But there were many, many boutique shops with cool clothings and goods that we had never seen before. Great for clothing shopping and gifts. Every store was laid out with incredible decor. It was a treat just to walk around and view all the places. Floor after floor of eye catching displays and unique clothings. There's an anime floor with a nintendo store and Pokemon that the kids loved. Plus other similar shops. The basement food hall offered many options for dinning, with actual seating, it's not just a row of take away stalls. You could easily spend a whole day here. We came back twice for food and shopping. Centrally located in the Shibuya area, a short walk from the famous crossing. If you were to visit one department store for the experience in Tokyo, I would choose Parco.

Parco is known for its department stores, apparel stores and most probably snacks souvenir stores at the basement. This Parco has an entire floor of character good stores featuring Nintendo, Pokémon, Capcom, Koei tecmo to note a few. They are huge, easier to shop as a tourist than in Akihabara if you are more generic as a fan. The stores that I've made purchase cannot process tax free.

A 10 story department store close to the scramble, like most department stores, it is best described as many shops in a shop, but also includes a mix of public space, and changing art exhibits.
What is notable: On 6F there is a large Nintendo store, a Pokémon Centre, and a smaller Capcom store, but there is also a crazy crowd when we went so be prepared.

Good shopping mall but the best is that the Nintendo Store and the Pokemon store is on the 6th floor. There is a great rooftop terrace that gives you a pretty good view of Shibuya and there is a bar/cafe there as well. There are a lot of other great independent stores and a food court on the 7th floor.

Parco is a fun place to hang out and get your shopping on! But for real the main reason I went was to go to one piece shop on the 6th floor. This floor has so many things for the inner child, not just one piece, but models and toys as well. The shopping is pretty average and honestly a little pricy, and the restaurants are standard, but the reason I give this place a 4 out of 5 is the staff. My friend lost her phone in the bathroom and she was really stressed. The kind and efficient help we received after was amazing and she got her phone back in no time.
As for the Mugiwara Store. It's amazing. It rivals the store in the Tokyo tower and it's really really... a bad idea for my wallet. You can get anything from One Piece toys, to food, to a chopper water bottle. You can get cosplay and patches and stationary too. Literally everything one piece. If you're an anime fan you'll love this place.

I just went to this mall to go to Mugiwara Store, that's it. Nothing special at this mall really. If you really want to shop, perhaps going to Odaiba malls is much convenient and plenty of options available.

Into fashion? Japanese and not japanese? Head off to Parco and check all the latest in fashion. All the big brands are on sale here, not the posh ones, but the ones with new ideas.

This is literally a retail store for fans. Upstairs in a shopping mall and tricky to find at first. Very crowded and lots of things to buy. Kids everywhere.
