The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

You must visit to feel like a real life Samurai
This was a great place to wear the scared samurai armour, sensei Takemura else very knowledgeable and speaks very good English. I arrived and was greeted by him , I would suggest you confirm your date and time as I messed up but he was very understanding afterwards. The photographer was very professional who took my photos and sensei Takemura has been doing this for ten years and has a wealth of experience. The armour fit me very well but I am only 5 foot 5 inches and average build. The armour I picked was Yukimura Sanada and the sensei has all the experience to help you get the right poses and make the duration seem very easy. Sensei Takemura showed me the photos afterwards and even air dropped them to my IPHONE along with the SD card. I will return again when I visit Japan to try the different armour and try the poses with different armour. I feel even if you do not have experience in martial arts or anything then the sensei will guide you very easily through the day, The sensei is not just a man who works as an owner of his business but is also a teacher of Kendo and is 7th generation of a real Samurai lineage. Tom Cruise might have been in the movie The last Samurai but Sensei Takemura is a real life Samurai living in Neo Tokyo
Thank you for a visit! Your armor was really coooool!! I was surprised by your knowledge of Japan! You probably know more about Japanese history than most Japanese people. You might want to wear black armor next time! Thank you for being interested in the history of the Japanese samurai. Thank you so much. See you again! Regards Takemura

Amazing, authentic, pleasant experience. The moment we entered, was greeted with a big welcome by Mr. Takemura, and guided us the whole process with details and passion. From the explanation of the history and details of each samurai, and guiding us to every single post we should make for the best photoshoot, it was a fantastic experience that worth every single cent. Excellent Samurai Armour Experience
Excellent, Superb, Brilliant, sums up this wonderful experience on 14 March. As someone who is interested in armour and has seen many samurai armours in museums it was very interesting to feel the weight and flexibility of these amazing metal replicas of samurai armour. Thank you so much to Takemura and his photographer for such a professional and interesting experience. This has been one of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo. Can 100% recommend.
Thank you for a visit! Thank you for coming to Japan! You were big and seemed really strong. Japanese armor can be worn in any size, and you looked really good in it! You look like you could be in a movie! I am happy if you look at this picture and remember Japan! Thank you so much. See you again! Regards Takemura

    Best of the best
A super terrific operation. We were shooting a concept book cover for a Samurai based romance novel in progress and needed both studio space, costumes and talent. Their expertise on everything Samurai cannot be equaled. Photographers in their own right, my shot list allowed them to get things quickly organized. Everything except our own Sony A1 was on hand there and the quantity and selection of costumes was simply terrific. I can’t recommend their services highly enough.

We really enjoyed our experience with Shimpei san and his team. He was welcoming and friendly, speaks English very well and was informative about the Samurai who’s armour was displayed. The airconditioning was highly appreciated with thos temperatures. I highly recommend going to see Shimpei and experiencing wearing Samurai armour. Thank you Shimpei!

So the studio building is just around the corner from the fugu fish place. It's an unassuming doorway with "King Building" written on it. Up to the 7F by stairs or elevator. Shoes off.

I was greeted pleasantly by the staff who gave me a tee & long shorts to change into via a changing room. Then onto a "tour" of the available suits of armour with some information about who wore them, how they wore the armour, when they wore the armour etc plus plenty more information.

Then onto the wearing. I'm an XL shirt & 38" waist and I was worried it might not fit quite right but once the guys worked their magic, it felt like I was born to wear that armour.

Then onto photos. I hit somewhere in the region of 15 poses (as instructed by the staff so don't worry if you're like me and not photogenic) and got 200+ photos of extremely good quality on a Micro SD card (with a full size SD adapter) as well as pics taken on my smartphone for easy sharing & time to walk around the studio taking selfies.

You get to keep the socks (tabi) that you're given to wear. Nice little touch.

I also bought a t-shirt & samurai licence (A leather wallet containing one of your photos & a licence declaring you a true samurai)

I'll definitely be back (hopefully later this year) with my family for a group session in the streets of Shibuya.

I was looking forward to this way before I even planned my trip to Japan. I had very high expectations and I was given more than that. When we entered the room, the environment and staff were so welcoming. Takemura and the staff really took care of us and made the experience worthwhile. It felt so good being in that armor and the photos came out great! If I could leave a review higher than 5 stars I would.

Beautiful crafted samurai armour, incredible details of each ancient armour design and materials are so well preserved, wonderful to wear and to be taken photos with.

Takemura and his team are really accommodative and enthusiastic on his works, ever ready to help with posting style and funny with jokes along the way 🤣🤣

The result of the photos are amazing, very high quality standard, not much post Photoshop needed at all and at the end of shooting a SD card with all the contentsis given to take home with.

I really enjoy spending time here, nice fun and friendly place to be and definitely will recommend anyone with an interest in samurai warriors to drop by👍👍👍👍👍 will give full 5 stars thumbs up
