大江戸線豊島園駅からすぐ。田島山十一ヶ寺の一つ。
創建年不明の浄土宗の寺院。本尊は阿弥陀如来。本堂入口の両脇には素人が造ったような仁王像が立っている。ある意味、田島山十一ヶ寺の中で最も特徴のある寺院である。

練馬十一ヶ寺が集まる静かな路地にある。寛永年間（1624-1644）田島山誓願寺の塔頭として創建しその後こちらに移転された。路地横に石造の山門があり、少し先に本堂がひっそりと立ち、両側には鬼のような人形が立っている。
