Great area with lots of interesting Tokyo Shrines & Temple. An abundance of quaint side street souvenir shops. The entire area is worth a day trip, easy access via Tokyo's Great Subway System.

Great example of lovely shrine. Very very busy even on the hottest day. But worth seeing and tasting some great foods.

On the day we visited, there was a festival happening so the place was super lively. The view of Tokyo Tower and the temple are beautiful and worth seeing! I also used the restroom and be warned that it is a squatting type of restroom.

Beautiful festival on the temple grounds. You can write your wishes on a colored strip of paper & hang on bamboo trees that they erect that night. After dusk the washi candles are more prominent & are a sight to behold.

We stopped in on a lovely meditative service on Sunday. The Temple was wonderful and the park grounds were pleasant to walk about. Not a bad way to spend a few hours before heading into the city for museums.

very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has
ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find
restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The
