From far away the tower looks like most towers you may have seen but once you are under it you can truly appreciate the enormity of the tower.
Upon entering there is plenty to occupy your time, there's a gift shop, an aquarium (not very...More
The Tokyo tower offers a really god photographic opportunity and is not to be missed. The views are stunning and you get to see 360 degrees of the city. It was busy but the people were well controlled !

Visiting the Tokyo Tower in the evening was probably one of the best ideas. Not only is the beer garden open and illuminated with lights (give yourself some time before your visit to enjoy the beer garden), but the Tower is as well! It really...More

We saw the tower during daylight and at nighttime and it definitely looked better at night thanks to the way it is lit up. We didn’t go up the tower, just enjoyed looking at it at close quarters.

Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much
older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

The top deck is currently surrounded by scaffolding and constructions so the views are very obstructed. Check before you go up to see if they’re still working and if they are don’t bother going all the way up.
