Unfortunately we missed the Himiko boat sailing so we were on an ordinary boat, it also meant we had to change at Hinode Pier to get to Asakusa from Odabia - there was a wait of about 20 mins at Hinode. However, they sell excellent ice cream desserts at Hinode Pier so it was all good! It was lovely to... More

Cruise down Sumida River was 45 minutes and actually consisted of viewing many bridges and industrial areas not very scenic or interesting to me. I would consider it a waste of time considering all Tokyo has to offer

Higher price ships(Himiko, Hotaluna) have thick frames within windows. Therefore, it is hard to see outside scenery and also windows are little bit colored. In addition to that, there are no outside decks and seats. If you would like to feel comfortable wind on decks and see real Sumida river & beautiful Tokyo bay, you'd better to select another (cheaper)... More

We decided to take the river cruise from Hinode pier up to asakusa The cost of the trip was reasonable and it's a lovely way to see Tokyo Unfortunately the English commentary was minimal with very brief descriptions that included bridge names only and very little else I would still recommend doing it From asakusa you can visit the senso-Ji... I have to say that the cruise was more like a water taxi or ferry than a cruise. I departed from Hinode Pier. It was difficult to instruct the taxi driver as I don't know the japanese for pier. After some challenge, I showed him the location on google map. The Hinode Pier was surprisingly empty. Only around 6 to... More

I enjoyed this 40minute trip on the river and the crew at the terminals and on the boat were wonderful but there's very little to see on or from the river and hence my tip is that this is a great way to mix up your day travelling around Tokyo but not a destination in itself. Top tip they don't... More

We took the Tokyo cruise from Asakusa to Odaiba on a sunny day. The trip was quite interesting in the beginning but then started to get boring. There's only very little commentary. And there's not much to see except the bridges. Don't expect a lot of history like the river trip in for example Paris. Having said that, you may... More

Went for a cruise to Asakusa with my Neice and her mum for worship and shopping. This was my second cruise to Asakusa and found it to be a lot more relaxing when I know hat to expect. Took about one hour and one stop and took the last boat that did not stop with beautiful scenery for he rainbow... More

I find cruising along a river is a relaxing way to get a different view of a city and so it happened on the Tokyo cruise. We embarked at Hamarikyu Garden and cruised up and down the river. Not exciting but a relaxing view of the city which makes it unusual in the madness of Tokyo

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
