Just came back from there and I must say it was stunning. Weather was not the best but we still had great views especially at sunset when sky goes dark. Price is 500¥ but if you buy a ticket for the train that goes straight to the place you get a discount so you'll get it for 300¥. I recommend... More

If you go to Tokyo, this should be your first stop as from up there you can enjoy how spread and majestic Tokyo is. As soon as you arrive you might find a terrible queue, but don;t worry, if you are foreign and you have ID/Passport with you, you can use the fast track and be at the top nine... More

Ok panoramic view and free use of binoculars. There are however several other spots in skyscrapers with a better view and without a fee.

An excellent observation deck from which to view part of Tokyo City. Easy to get to, free and would you believe, empty on a Saturday afternoon! We were the only persons there. 5 of us with the viewing area to ourselves! Does not appear to be a 'commercial/touristy' style observation deck like that found in say SkyTower, but nevertheless, afforded... More

There you can see the various sights of 270 degrees around the building, and monitor the various places they cover. So is the use of the technology they use related to telecommunications. I think the tickets are reasonably priced at 500 Yen per person to enjoy all the facilities they provide.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
