As it is often the case with contemporary art, the message of the artist resonates with you... or not! My first visit in 2013 left me mesmerized with the atmosphere around some of the installations of the Crystallize exhibition (Tokujin Yoshioka), but for a good...More

The museum is not huge but the exhibitions are quite good. The modern Japanese art where paintings were so good they actually look like a photograph.

Went there but the place was closed for renovation. Could find out when it will open again. So this was a big disapointment. Check if it is open before you go there.

I did not like the current exhibitions, anything that. It's more interesting the museum's structure.

I found this museum disappointing. It is small for a major city MOMA. Given Japan's modern artists unique style I expected a much more interesting exhibition. Instead was a not very interesting story of how Japanese artists abandoned traditional silk painting to embrace and emulate...More

The place is very interesting, the architecture very peculiar, has something very contemporary and something very Japan, very traditional Japan. Exhibitions cool and the area is full of surprises.
