こちらは江戸川区の新川の一番西の端の新川西水門公園内にあります。
外観は真っ黒ですが、内部は無垢材が使われておりいい感じです。
最上部に上るには、靴を抜いて約55段の螺旋階段を上っていきます。
最上部からの眺めは素晴らしかったです。

新川西水門広場にある新川火の見櫓。
場所は新川の中側の方にあります。
船堀駅から徒歩10分位。
年末年始以外の土・日・祝日の10:00～15:00は開放されており、火の見櫓にのぼることもできます。（雨天、荒天の場合は状況により変更しますとのこと）
新川の千本桜がとてもきれいにみえます。
桜の時期は平日でも開放されています。
開放されているかどうか確認される場合は江戸川区の土木課に問い合わせしてみるとよいかと思います。（写真は3月下旬に撮影したものです）

新川親水公園の西口、中川への放流地点です。
狭いトンネルを抜けると、城壁のような整地もされていて中々趣がありますが、広くはありません。５分ほど見学すれば終わり…という感じでしょうか。中川の堤防に接続されていますので、平日なら、そこでのんびりできると思います。

桜の季節には素晴らしい遊歩道となります。そうでないシ－ズンでも水鳥が浮かんでいて野鳥に興味かあれば楽しませてくれるスポット。ただし、水は少し汚れています。

趣のある漆黒の火の見櫓です。この櫓から見下ろせる新川には千本桜があり、桜のシーズンには素敵なコラボレーションが楽しめます。今回は訪問が少し早かったので桜が咲いていなかったのが無念。
