Interacting with relaxed-adorable owls make many people smile, and we think owls can heal our tired hearts like a therapy. We prioritize to keep our owls in good health ,and then, we apply the healing effects of 《Classical Music,Sconce Lighting,and White Color》 to our room so that our guests can experience "extraordinary healing". As a part of our perfomance, every flow of background music has its own theme, we go along with the story for 1 hour. The number of guests will be【limited to small gruops,and our room is provided by reservation only】so that the guests can spend some cozy time. We hope you will enjoy the “healing entertament” which is the only one bizarre-space in the world ♪

Private sessions was amazing and very reasonable given the 2 staff members and 30+ owls we had access to. Rules on staying very quiet, moving very slow and touching only slowly with one finger as to not stress owls. They all appeared very well cared for and relaxed. We got there very early which I would recommend only 10 min early as you must wait outside. Very special experience which included a few very nice professional photos.

It was an interesting experience. The staff took the necessary precautions to make sure the owls are safe. Please if you are going, don't panic as the owls will panic if you panic and handle them with care.
When you enter you are expected to talk very softly and don't make sounds that may startle the owls (e.g phone rings, making loud sounds while moving, sounds from the phone/camera when you take a picture ).
The place is quite small but there are owls all around, on the wall or on the perches. You can choose any owl out of around 30-40 owls unless they are taking a break ( will be shown next to their name ). You are only able to swap only once ( so you can hold up to two owls ). You can ask for three sizes small medium or large. Large owl requires you to wear a glove when I tried it. The biggest owl I saw was an owl called takoyaki which was around 3-4kg while the smallest is pineapple which is around 100g.
When you first choose an owl, they will ask for you to take a picture which will be printed, laminated and given to you as a souvenir for free ( each person will get one so if group photo each person will get the same picture) . You are allowed to hold them for around 30 minutes before it is time to leave. Careful sometimes they will cough up their food or poop randomly ( mine did ). There are boxes which contains wet tissue for you to wipe clean and rest your hand on. ( If you get tired holding the owl)
Please reserve one month earlier as the slots get taken out fast. If you are going I hope you enjoy your experience the same as I have :)

It was such as amazing experience. Have done it once before 5 years ago, and it was just as good as I remembered. The staff are very attentive, and make you feel really welcome. They are also constantly ensuring the Owl's are not uncomfortable, and are quick to act if the Owl's appear that they have had enough.
100% recommend you put this into your travel plans if you're in Japan.

An excellent place worth the stop in Tokyo.
Located in a quaint alley, you’ll find this gem of an attraction. The moment the doors opened, it was obvious the folks there had a passion for what they do and enjoyed sharing it.
Here you will have the opportunity to see numerous (40? 59? 60?) owls hanging out, uncaged. The folks will guide you through how to interact with the owls and how to hold them. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Hands down an easy recommendation!

One of the best things I’ve done on this trip!! The owls were adorable and the owners were so nice and so educational! They have a big book of why owls react the way they do or do what they do.
When you first walk in, the owners ask that you remove your bags and be very calm and quiet. Then you’ll sit down and one of the owners will tell you how to behave and how to handle the owls. Then you can start going around to see which owl you like and put him/her on your arm, and have a professional picture taken!
The moment I walked in, I locked eyes with Chocobo 😭❤️ and she kept looking at me too. So after the introduction, I went to pet Choco and soon after that, she was sitting on my arm 🥹. My fiancé chose Wizard and he’s an energetic one! He kept bobbing his head to the soft music the owners had in the background 😂. At one point, Wizard pooped and a few minutes later, he flew to my fiancé’s head 😂.
Once you choose your owl, you can have them perched on your arm until the end of the reservation ☺️.

We planned to visit several pet cafes during our Tokyo visit. The pet cafe we visited the day before was very underwhelming so we tried to keep an open mind for our booking with the owl cafe today. It sure blewed my mind with the experience. Not only we can go around to have an up close look at different species of the owls, the owner also let each customer (in my a family of 4) to post for the picture with an owl and spend the rest of your time with it. The owner had a pleasant surprise at the end of the session by giving each customer a post card photo of your picture with the owl. It was such an amazing experience that we will definitely go back again when we have a chance.
I also love how gentle the couple work with the owls. They also let the owls take break (by posting a "break" sign next to it) when the owl appears to be tired.

To only be able to give this experience a 5 star is the only bad thing. I was speechless from the second the doors opened and you were transported into a world of these amazing creatures. We booked a private session and it was worth every penny, the memories made could never amount to any denomination of currency. I would book this experience again in a fraction of heartbeat. Thank you to the staff who were attentive to every single detail. Please put this on your list of you visit Japan.

Incredible majestic experience! The owls are so gentle and collaborative with the visitors, well regarded by the hosts. The hosts are extremely hospitable, provide clear instructions and support the visitors the whole tine. They also gave us presents at the end: laminated photos with our family and each of us with the owls, and calendars to the kids. I cannot recommend them enough.

It was a great experience. I was in the 12pm session, there were about 11 people in that session. They explained what to do inside and they have binders of info outside as other people wait for their appointment.
You get to choose 2 different owls one at a time. I got Omega and then Whitebait. Whitebait loves to move and he even pooped while he was on my arm, but it was no biggie. I took it as a blessing! The host cleaned it up right away. You get a picture souvenir of you and one of your chosen owl at the end of your session.

This was definitely a unique experience. For 3000 yen, I got to spend 45 minutes in a room filled with owls. I got to keep one on my arm too. Each person received a photo with their owl, which was very cool. One of those things you do once.

The cafe is on the first floor. They ate customer friendly, you can email them. They dont sell any food, it is called cafe because there are tables and chairs and it is set up like a cafe but they dont sell any food or drinks

Why are westerners in denial about this being blatant animal cruelty? Owls want to be in the forest living their lives not as a circus act for people.

The pet birds we have domesticated such as parrots, cockatiels, parakeets and cockatoo were once wild birds. I’ve had birds as pets, and there are certain behaviors that indicate mood. Contented birds fluff their feathers. The birds there appeared fluffy and content. The owners handled the owls gently and with care and respect. There is a lot of instruction on how to properly interact with the owls. While we were sitting at the table reading the instructions, one of them repeatedly jumped from his perch onto the table to stand right on the instructions. He wanted to check US out. It’s not a circus, where animals are trained to do tricks or bribed with food to jump through hoops. Mostly we sat quietly with a bird on each shoulder.
So I don’t think it’s denial of blatant animal cruelty, just because they’re not in the wild, though I see why one might think so. Each animal facility should be evaluated on its own merits, and my impression is that the birds are well taken care of b

Best to make a reservation as they only allow limited amount of people

My family and I will be travelling there in May. Understand that they don't serve any food and drinks inside the establishment. Is that correct? If so, are there any cafes nearby for us to have a coffee or grab a bite to eat before or after the experience?

It’s not a cafe for food and drink - simply spend time in the presence of owls. But there are cafes, bars and restaurants in nearby Akihabara.

No food is served at the owl cafe. I would recommend getting a reservation before lunch, as you will have a lot to talk about afterward!

It is recommended no children under 7 years. You have to be be very quiet, move slowly and understand the importance of following the guides instructions on how to behave with owls to ensure they are not stressed.
