Huge park surrounded by canal where you can rent canoes. Take subway and get off kudanshita station, park is just outside the plateform, actually in the same area you can see also Yasakuni shrine, connected by an over pass. One of the best background to...More

The park itself is not as well tended as the neighboring East Gardens, but it is peaceful. The grass area has taken a beating over the years. There is an inexpensive cafe on the grounds that is warm and clean with friendly staff. The menu...More

Budokan and Science and Technology Museum are in this park. At the season of Cherry Blossoms, this place becomes special. It has some historical significance as a part of Edo Castle. If you visit this place otherwise, I'm afraid you find just a big green...More

Great Park... A lot of green to see and feel the good smell of nature. The silence and peaceful atmosphere rules the place. You may enjoy the lake as well as the huge grass ground floors for any activity. The Budokan may provide you some...More

This is a beautiful park. Unfortunately when we were here in late March of 2017 the Sakura were just starting to bloom but it must be spectacular when they are in full bloom. This park is also home to Nippon Budokan where so many famous...More

This is a large park that is essentially part of the Imperial Palace area and is well worth a visit. It is very well maintained and a great expanse of green in the middle of Tokyo.

This park is part of the site of the Imperial Palace, and facilities have a museum and a library in addition to the park. Its large site was perfect for a walk, and many people enjoyed picnics in the square. It is a place where...More

The park itself is gorgeous, especially on the West Moat, Chidorigafuchi, during the cherry blossom season soon to come, when it is bumper-to-bumper with strollers. The park is also the location of the Budookan, built for the 1964 Olympics and where I was fortunate to...More

Cozy park with trails throughout the whole forest, perfect for a stroll. Also has a huge open area where you can picnic or just relax on the grass. Lots of interesting plants, animals (including turtles, lizards and ducks!) and a great place for relaxing, with...More

Nearby
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around
the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in
Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a
photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old
Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this
day, and there are long-standing restaurants with
geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
