Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is accessible by the Toden Arakawa Tram line at the Arakawa-Yūenchi-mae station. The park is about 500m scenic walk from the station. Admission is free for children and ¥100 for adult, most of the rides are ¥100 each but if you purchased 5 tickets, you'll get 1 free.

The rides are old carnival types but well maintained like a mini roller coaster, ferris wheel (great view of Tokyo sky tree and Tokyo tower), struggler, spinning teacups, etc. A lot of Japanese families with young children were there.

There is a mini zoo with deers, monkeys, ponies, raccoons, capybaras and peacocks. Within the same site is a mini tram museum showcasing some mini models and a real size tram.

We enjoyed this park very much, it's better than the 2 Disneys.

Lovely little theme park for family with young kids. We have problem at the ticket machine as it was only in Japanese but the staff kindly help us. We got the whole day ticket, so we can ride as much as we want. All the rides were fun and the queue was not too long. Our favourites were the carousell, spinning teacups and of course the ferris wheel. There were many benches and tables for people to picnic. The cafe sells nice hot snacks like hotdog and fried rice. Check their website to know if there is any show during weekend. Their petting zoo was nice and the animals are well kept. We had a great time here.

I visited Arakawa Park with some friends in September 2015. It's a nice little park with some great little rides for kids. You can pay for a wristband at the gates for unlimited goes on all the rides, or you can pay a small entrance fee and pay per ride which is what we did. The staff were friendly. It's quite easy to get to using the tram system in this part of Japan. Great for kids.

Arakawa yuen is the very 1st amusement park in Tokyo. My friend brought me here during my visit to Tokyo. Here the rides are old but it contained the memories of many working executives in Tokyo today. It is still highly visited by many locals. It is good to come here if you have enough time but most of the people here do not speak English. It is still best to come here with a Japanese friend.

Just a short distance tram ride from where we stay.

Nice place to walk around but the rides are more for young kids.

Must be beautiful during spring and summer since a lot of roses planted along the street

This is one of the oldest amusement parks in Tokyo, apparently. And it felt a little bit like an old movie set.
It felt nice and relaxed and friendly, and was not crowded.
It is particularly good for families with kids up to around 10 years old.
It is also nice to ride the tram from Machiya Station and look around.

Very nice and cheap way to spend a morning, or an afternoon.

Very reminiscent of old carnival rides from years ago. Great place to visit and get friendly with local people. Made a couple of friends here that I will have for life. Definitely worth taking time out to see if you are close by.
