A full day is easily filled at this excellent example of an Elizabethan manor house. The tours are bookable on arrival and are the best way to explore the house. The guides are knowledgeable and amusing and the tour takes approx just over an hour. The older generation will enjoy the farming museum which is well structured and has some... More

Disappointed when we arrived on a Thursday to discover in October they are only open Tuesday and Sundays. Trip was not totally wasted as Breamore village also boasts an exceptional example of an Anglo Saxon church including Anglo Saxon inscription rather than Latin making highly unusual as many Anglo Saxon churches were destroyed in the Norman conquest of 1066. The... More

We visited on a Sunday which was very quite, and told we had to wait an hour for the next tour! So we looked around the museum which was ok then we decided to pass the rest of the time in the tearoom which was dated, filthy, messy and horrible cake! Then it was time to start the tour which... My self and a group of friends have been visiting this charming rustic little seasonal tearoom, over many years, and have always found the food second to none.. Home cooked , and freshly made as you wait, also the service and friendliness of the staff, have kept us going back year after year.. We discovered this hidden treasure, on a... More

Breamore house has a classic car meeting once a year, I'd never been so any excuse to take my old car out....To pay £8 to park a classic car in the middle of a field for a few hours is just silly, only peolple coming to see the cars should pay and then only a couple of quid, if you... More

Interesting and informative tour of a family home - lots of history delivered with a personal touch. Interesting church on the estate along with an unexpected local museum with everything from the farrier, to the dairy, to mock up shops, and farming machinery - oh and a maze and childrens play area. Finally, great home-made cake at the tea room... More

We have visited today and have had a lovely time. We arrived a little early, the cafe opens at midday. Had a lovely lunch to start with, the bread that the sandwiches are freshly made of is gorgeous. Then we visited the museum, which opens at 13.00 which is a very interesting place. Lots to see and fascinating information. We... More

Our Ladies group visited here for our annual August outing. We were a group of the more elderly variety , so some just enjoyed the cream tea and others visited the museum as well. We were looked after extremely well by the tea room team and everyone that went in the museum enjoyed reminiscing !

Having lived on the doorstep of Breamore House for years I finally managed to go round it now that I have retired. It's a really good example of an Elizabethan House and our wonderful guide Bob was both knowledgeable and humorous. Definitely not boring. The tour lasts an hour and we did over run a bit. It was so interesting.... More

Sadly we started in the house so were not able to stay long amongst an amazing collection from times past. Amazing treasures in the house, good knowledgeable guide. Finally a very nice cup of tea just before closing time.
