Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very scenic beach with the natural black sand of Gran Canaria. A nice place to enjoy the wind and waves with few tourists around. But watch out for the bar run out of the charming owner‘s home. We had a coffee, 2 cafe leches (all in small glasses) and a lemonade and were surprised by the bill of 12€. Starbucks prices without the size.

Beautiful village very quirky. Just watch out for the dodgy over friendly local who set up a cafe in his front step. We had two cokes and a tuna salad £21. Guess we paid for his over friendliness and extra virgin olive oil. No wonder he was dancing in the sun shine with his mate air strumming on his ukulele.

I heard about tufia beach from the internet, and we went there to check out after got bored in the touristic beaches, the place is really stunning with a peculiar architecture and narrow streets, dark sand a tinny beach but really beautiful, everting in the place worth to go to check, the only thing rogue is the local who sells beer and food,he is very friendly but as soon he discovers our strange spanish accent,he took advantage,we order some snacks(4 croquets and 6 calamari rings) and been served our beers in a tiny glass i thought was a local thing but no,as soon came some spanish guys there, they got a proper pints glass, anyhow the worse was the bill, £32 for to half pints and a little snacks.
The place really worth to go but make sure you bring your own drink and food or begin to training you spanish accent.

A good snorkling beach but very limited facilities. Black sand and rocks but be aware that there are holes in the rocks that could change the depth of water instantly and surprisingly. It is essentially a locals' beach, so act accordingly.

We took a detour here when the main road to the north of the island was closed. It is really a one street village with a very small but scenic beach with the natural black sand. A nice place to enjoy the wind and waves with very few tourists around.
Seems a good place to go snorkeling. Quite photogenic in places

This is a lovely location either for it's beach or for Scuba. I did 2 dives here with Leagues Ahead Diving. The road down from the car park is very steep and getting diving kit down there, and back up is not for the faint hearted, but the diving is well worth the effort.
We saw shoals of fish,, trumpet fish, cuttlefish, blue anemones, and even Nativity Figures.
The Diving was excellent, but dropped the rating down because of the steepness of the hill.

We were looking for a beach with dark sand and what can I say, we have rarely seen such dark, yet soft sand. The place is small but totally 💯 idyllic.

An ideal place for people who are tired of resorts and the hustle and bustle of city beaches such as Las Canteras in Las Palmas. A charming, quiet place, the man from the bar is helpful, but apparently it is expensive for tourists there.
