nice excursion

The kids climb the rocks and enjoy the surroundings. You have to walk your way down the cascade but its an easy track to follow.

The kids climb the rocks and enjoy the surroundings. You have to walk your way down the cascade but its an easy track to follow.

What a lovely waterfall in a remote country location. Not well sign-posted, but easy enough to eventually get to. Wear good walking shoes as some bits are steep or slippery as you walk to the falls. So glad the proprietors of Casa dos Cregos told us about this hidden gem.

A gorgeous lush valley with a magnificent waterfall. Best way is to start in Bandeira and look for signs to the monastery. You'll also see signs to the falls which are close by. It,s very hard to find the waterfall ,but amazing when you get there . You must search around Bandeira .

Bring your camera and a tripod to make a long exposure to get there... follow the signs, drive inbetween the farms and follow the narrow road, into the forest, up to the forbidden sign, park and walk down...

This is a hard to find waterfall but once you get there it is so worth it..There is a shallow entry into the water. It is freezing but you can stand right under the waterfall, it is so invigorating.
