Some Catalan friends as a surprise arranged a visit to Codorniu winery for us while on holidays in Barcelona recently. It wasn't on our list of things to do, so glad they did, it was one of the highlights of our trip and well worth the visit. Setting is beautiful, fabulous buildings by Puid y Cadafaach in the beautiful catalan... More

What a GREAT TOUR! Our guide was so knowledgeable about the history and tradition of Codorniu and the wine making process. We had so much fun watching the video, riding the train and sampling the sparkles deep inside the cave. I wish we'd been able to smuggle more into our suitcases!

Not a fan of Codorniu but the visit started earlier than Torres. It blew me away. From the passion of the staff to this impressive oldest family business in Spain, the visit is very impressive. The facilities and the caves are simply amazing. How could they built something like this back then? We do not visit the factory where it... More

We have just completed a tour of the Codorniu cava winery guided by the excellent Virginia. She was very knowledgeable and answered all questions thoroughly. The tour is good value for money and includes a tasting of both the white and Rose Cavas. The tour starts with a short 3D film and continues both by train and on foot through... More

This is a really impressive wine property. The tour is comprehensive and educational. The vast underground tunnels and storage is quite something. Wine and light lunch served at end of tour was good.

We booked a tour of the Cordoniu cava vineyard on our own via the website. We took the bus from Barcelona (hint, the 1st stop is behind the Mercedes dealership) for 4E. We were the only guests for the English tour! So our private tour covered the normal route on foot. We had plenty of time to ask questions. You... More

Enjoyed the beautiful views. Tour guide was bland. I had a hard time understanding her through her accent but she knew her information from what I was able to catch. Underground cellars were interesting but it was quite an uneventful tour. Extensive gift shop.

Tour guide wasn't knowledgeable. He was not able to answer questions. Movie was boring. Not authentic wine tasting experience. Felt more like an amusement park than a tour.

This is a very old winery. It has been in the hands of the same family since 1497. The buildings were designed by Puig i Cadafalch, a well known Catalan modernist architect; the buildings alone are worth a visit. However, Cordoniu is a venerable producer of quality cavas. We received a very comprehensive tour of the cellars, and enjoyed a... More

Fantastic. Codorniu is undoubtedly one of the best drinks in the world. The place is worthy of a movie. We had the Mediterranean coffee, too. I'll bem back.
