The Underground River of the Caves of San Jose is a beautiful natural cave.Visit the longest navigable underground river in Europe will allow you to enter into the depths of the earth a peaceful boat plying waters, admire the fanciful shapes of the rocks that the action of water has shaped over thousands of years backward and forward in time at breakneck speed to imagine the growth of stalactites and stalagmites, hear the silence, feel the murmur of water, the echo produced by a drop of water on an underground lagoon, discovering a beautiful landscape that nature has kept secret since the mists of time today.

Very interesting cave complex. We didn't pre- book our tickets but as it was quiet, tickets were readily available. It may be worth booking tickets on line at busy times as there are only so many tickets available every hour. The trip takes approx 45 minutes. Involves a journey in a boat (watch your head), a short walk, then a... More

Had a trip here from Valencia, and luckily got tickets with 5 minutes to spare otherwise would have had to wait another hour. Caves were amazing, had to duck a few times in the boat to avoid hitting my head. Only downside was that the guide was Spanish, and even though there were signs for audio commentary in other languages... More

Very interesting place with great views inside the caves. The trip is in the boat on a cave river. Tourist audio guides with lots of languages. Of course much more interesting to listen to the boatman, but only if you understand Spanish.

We had a round trip with one of Royal Caribbean trips, and this was one of the best we ever had. And I have seen many, like Oregan Caves in USA, the Gibraltar Caves, Dragon Caves in Mallorca and more. The San Jose Caves, or Coves de Sant Jose was great. A little walk and then a boat trip inside... More

We went with family but it was just as interesting as it was fun for the younger ones. Not expensive and not a long wait to get on the boat.

We visited these caves as part of an excursion from our cruise ship. I loved the peace and tranquil ride through the caves. Well worth a visit.

What a great experience.! Never done any thing like this before. We were "sailing" down and underground river and a small boat that was punted as the water is maximum 2 metres deep. It was all just so quiet and peaceful. Pity that our guide did not speak English but we somehow made out the meanings of what he was... More

The visit to the caves and the underground river lasted approximately 40 min. Once inside the caves we boarded a small boat. We were 11 people on our boat but there was space for more. The man in charge of the boat and sailing on the river did not speak English. The trip consisted of three parts... first a boat... More

Dear Mariela, thank you very much for your opinion, we really appreciate it. Regarding our photo-taking policy, we are sorry that you did not understand the main reason. It is a huge responsiblity for our boatmen to take 12-14 people on a boat, and if all these people started taking photos at the same time, it could become really difficult... More

We had a tour guide with us that spoke english and told us some facts and funnies about this site. Pretty cool to see the rock formations that are thousands of years old, for divers this would be cool as well but they don't allow that. The boats are filled and at times people did not listen on how to... More

We went there early in the season and early in the morning, we had no queue and as we did not know much about it, found the whole experience wonderful, the fact that they did not speak English was a blessing to be honest, we liked the silence as we were punted along the river with only the rippling water...
