Animals are getting old

I have been there more than 10 times with my children. We love the surrounding with many big trees. However the animals are getting old. Some cages are empty now. It's a pity

The zoo is large with a lot of animals. Check the time table with the zoo for animal show or feeding time. As the area is very big, make sure your attire is proper for the visit. Wear walking shoes, a sweat shirt or anything comfortable.

Overall the Zoo looks like not being maintained as other renowned Zoo in South East Asia. Some animals look like not properly feed. Even some animal looks not in the best health. The signage not helpful. They should have guided tour or animal feeding activities that are attractive to visitors.

my friends and i tried the night safari. i think the zoo itself closes early and then opens later for the night safari. there's different pricing for foreigners and natives. so for safari they do let you off at some points to get a closer look at the animals but they're still in cages or kept away at a safe... Watching animal in real live always an excited moment for everyone including me. I enjoyed capturing selfies and pictures with most of the animals even we was hot under the sun. But it is quit sad regarding the zoo cleanliness quit poor and the animals really need to be take care of their living space.

It was an impromptu plan to visit the zoo during our last visit to Melaka. We were there on a Friday and it was somewhat crowded. Since it was a long walk, we decided to take the Buggy ride which is RM60 for a 6 seater. The wait was long but definitely worth it. We had a tour guide who... More

Huge space and wide variety of animals but deficient and unclean installations. More control needed as some people throw plastic bags to the animals.

Good breading program for Malayan tigers. Sad, some animals which use to be here are gone. Grey wolf, red panda are among them. Safari exibit would be nicer with more animals. Good up close with Girafe and Tapir. Night safari, highly recomended. Feeding of otters was fun.

I visited the Melaka Zoo today and was excited because of what people have told me. Tigers, Lions, Panthers etc. I paid the entry fee of 23.5RM (~ 5.50€) only to see either empty cages or the ground being dug up. No signed telling me for what! I missed the English signs almost throughout the zoo. The toilets were defective.... More
