Unfortunately the tower was pretty much destroyed by the 2009 earthquake but it is being painstakingly rebuilt and the information around the site is very interesting and informative.

Unfortunately, after the 2009 earthquake which badly damaged several buildings in the area, this medici tower was also left in abandonment. There is scaffolding all around it and you can't see much of it - it is just a shame - would not recommend travelling...More

A little town in the mountains well worth a visit. Suffered from the 2009 earthquake and it is a reminder that things in Italy don't move very fast. The "tower" is a feature of scaffolding. Little shops feature artisan products-wool, honey.

As with the village, the Torre is a beautiful medieval building, well worth visiting. Also look around the other buildings.

Little remains of this important Medici tower. There is a mass of scaffolding around the ruin and perhaps one day it will be restored
