Courabyra means ‘pleasant place’ which is an understatement for this restaurant!

Fabulous restaurant with extensive views and absolutely wonderful food.
Gave my dish (pork belly) 11/10! Good wines and excellent service. Truly a hidden gem in the Snowy Valley region. Will definitely be back - all the way from Sydney.Absolutely worth a visit.

Leisurely lunch
May 2021 • Couples
Nice lunch on the deck.. even in Autumn.
Great food and service. I found white wines excellent and superior to their reds, not a total surprise with the reputation of the area. The new Pinot Noir best of the reds (I think the 2012 is past it’s prime but it gave a clear comparison point).
A nice place and nice people. Keeps a country feel.

Sensational!
Mar. 2021
As part of a birthday weekend my husband and I had lunch. The food was amazing (desert divine) and oh so tasty!
The scenery and ambiance was fantastic.
Staff were so friendly helpful and were happy to take in our taste preferences substituting instead of leaving off unwanted items!
We were able to taste wines to enable us to choose what to have with our meals.
Overall a wonderful dining experience we will be repeating it again.

Best vineyard in Tumbarumba

Joking aside, wonderful spot overlooking gorgeous rolling hills. Staff are friendly, great wines and great way to view the surrounding countryside.

An essential stop on your travels.

Easily worth 5hrs of driving from Sydney or Melbourne just to enjoy the wines and a meal from Courabyra. Stunning outlook over the vineyard and my ribs were just perfect pulled from the bone with no issue the sauce tasty but not overbearing and the mousse WOW

Gourmet Lunch and lovely wines
Jun. 2020 • Couples
I had to come away with 1/2 doz of the wonderful high altitude Shiraz. That was after the best Gourmet meal in the area. Don’t pass the Pork Ribs followed by Local Hazelnuts in a sublime mousse. My husband was more than impressed by the Gnocci and Vanilla Slice. A knockout lunch.

Don’t miss it

We are travelling in the area and recognised the name on the map so decided to stop in. Absolutely wonderful cellar door in a stunning setting. Great service, delicious lunch with great gluten free options and a nice kids playground in an open grassy area. Went away very happy with a case of excellent wine.

Welcome surprise
Dec. 2019 • Friends
We tried this on a whim. Not being winery fans we were looking for a meal not far from our digs. We were delighted with the service and the food for a very reasonable price. The Spareribs are superb and clearly the go to dish for those inclined. Other dishes sampled were the Salmon, Pot Pie, and Plowman’s platter , all were tasty and well presented. We didn’t sample any wines but will do on our next visit in a few days.

Stunnning location, great food and wine, lovely hosts
Nov. 2019
I visited Courabyra Wines last month whilst visiting the region with work. The outlook was absolutely beautiful! What's more, the hosts were very kind and helpful (especially when I asked for a last minute change to my dietary requirements). They went to great effort to make the evening special for our group. The food and wine were delicious too! I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
