I usually only write reviews of attractions when there is something wrong with them which needs putting right, or it is a place which deserves greater public support. Delgatie Castle falls into the latter category. Visited it yesterday, and it is full of interest, with...More

We had a nice afternoon tea with the added benefit of a classic car stopover happening. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Quaint surroundings

A very welcoming visit to a castle with great heritage. The only downside for me was the lack of options in the cafe for coeliacs. Other than that I would recommend this as a great day out in a rural castle.

This was a refreshing change from the usual, very neat but soulless, feel of many National Trust properties. The renovation is a work in progress, the gardens have yet to be revived, but Delgatie Castle is welcoming, friendly and interesting. The personal notes in the...More

Yes - I would think so. When we visited, there was a group of 8 women arrived. They were expected and a table had been set out for them with a special afternoon tea selection.
